Farewell

Hi guys!!! Well… today we have to write our last blog. What can I say? It was fun... at least for me...

Holidays are near!!! And I can’t wait!! I want to rest... do other kind of things... change the rutine for something more entertaining... sleep and... sleep and... SLEEP!!! Hahahahaha.

Emmmm about the excercise I must say that I never wrote a blog before... but I learned very quickly and enjoyed every one of them.

At the beginning I was a little scared about being a blogger. I thought that the blogs were a homework or something like that. But they weren’t... luckely... Hahahahaha.

Wrote blogs in english was very useful to me, because I learn with practice... not all by memory. That was an unconventional method, but it works for me.

Honestly I can’t find any disadvantage of blogging in the English class... just for one reason... It’s practice so... it’s a good thing!! We’re not a recorder machine... that’s why stuff like this are useful to our minds... because we register by actions... more than memorizing.

About the course... the only “but” that I could find was the hour... It’s too late!!! It’s hard to stay at university until 7:30. And it’s more difficult when I had to stay since 8:30 in the morning... until 7:30 in the afternoon because I always felt a little bit sleepy... Well... most of the time... Hahahahaha.

That’s it!! I guess... I don’t know what else can I say... So... this is our goodbye!! (for now I think) I hope you’ll have great holidays!! Get some rest but... above all... SLEEP TIGHT!!!

It was a pleasure to meet you all... That’s another useful thing about the entire class, because we could know so many things about each other... that was cool =)

Ok... I’ll leave!! Goodbye!! And Take Care!!!

Games and nothing but games =)

My relationship with videogames started because of my brother. He is the one that ask for a play station and my father gave it to him. At first I didn’t know how to use it, but I learned very soon. My favorite videogames were “Crash Bandicoot” and “Dance dance revolution”.

I remember that I enjoyed very much playing both of them. I could play all day long… For Christmas my brother got an electronic rug, to played dance dance revolution. The whole family was playing that night… it was very entertaining watched them jump and dance… but… a few months later… the rug broke down. Although my father bought another, so we could keep playing and having fun.

About Crash Bandicoot I like it because it’s an adventure game… I was very good at it… I think that I completed the game five or six times… at least. I accumulated more than a hundred lives… but the meter only allowed ninety nine. Hahahahahaha =)

I was able to play other kind of games too. For example I played fighting games with my brother and his friends. We made a lot of competitions to see who win. The prize for the winner could be something to eat, or drink… or anything like that. And the loser had to clean the entire house… I can’t lie… it was fun!!

What else can I tell?? Emmmmm today I’m not playing videogames, because I don’t know how to use my brother’s x – box 360… but I think that I learn someday… as I did with the play station…

That’s all folks!! I’ll see you on Wednesday!! Be good and take care!!
Bye bye!! =)

My family rules!! =)

Hi guys!! Today I have to show you a picture and tell you something about it!!
Well this picture was taken in 1998… I think so... We were on holidays back then. I remember that my father has to work in Valdivia during the summer and my mom, my brother and I went to visit him for a few weeks.

I didn’t know Valdivia until then… well… the truth is that I barely known my country. I don’t travel much. But that trip was great!! I enjoyed very, very much. Funny things happened to us, and, as every little eight years old girl, I made very good friends.

In the picture we were in Corral… a little island near to Valdivia. My father, my mother, my brother and I got there in a motorboat. It was very fun!! And we looks like a happy family… because… guess what… we were and we are a happy family =)

No one took the picture. It was an automatic camera… hahahahahaha. I love that picture because it shows the essence of our family. One for all and all for one… as the musketeers =)

There were the happiest days of the summer of 1998… but that’s not all… When I came back to Santiago… another surprise was waiting for me… my grandmother with her husband got me a little puppy!! I named him Guardián… he was a German shepherd…

Well I really don’t know what else I can tell about that picture…it was difficult to pick just one because there are too many that I like… but what can be better than a picture of the most valuable thing I had… my family!!!

That’s all for today… see ya!! And take care!!

Deadly Kreator

Hi guys!!! Today I have to write about the best concert that I have been…

In September 21st of 2007, Kreator (one of the groups that I like) came to Chile. They played in a festival called “Chile Rocks” with others groups (Hammerfall and Kotipelto, but I don’t like them).

I was so excited about that concert, because I started to hear their music about three years before… and they liked me very much, so (obviously) I wanted to see them live.

My uncle, who’s also like them, bought the tickets and invites me to the show, I was in fourth grade secondary school back then…

The day of the presentation was a Wednesday, so after school… I ran to my house, took a quick shower, and ran again to meet my uncle. We met in the subway station Universidad de Chile, at six as we agreed, and walk through San Diego street to the Caupolican Theatre. But before to go inside the theatre; we decided to have a drink.

At seven o’clock (more or less), we came into the theatre and saw the Kreator show. It was just hallucinatory for me… all the people was jumping, shaking their heads, screaming, and singing the songs. Obviously I was doing all that things too.

I lived a very crazy afternoon to the Kreator’s rhythm… it was fun, I enjoyed it!! But… not everything was good that day. I have to say that I lost my voice… I couldn’t say my own name!!! it was horrible!!! But… that’s not all. When I arrived to my house… my mom told me that my best friend’s mom passed away that afternoon.

That Wednesday was the best, but also the saddest day of that year…

That’s all folks!!! Take care!! See ya!! =)

"El Dani" The best ever!!!

I’ve had too many teachers in my short life… I hated most of them… but I loved a few too, and (of course) they loved me too (lol).

One of the most important teachers that I ever had is my math teacher at school. His name is Daniel San Martín. I met him when I was in eighth grade primary school, because the first teacher that we had back then was fired.

He taught me until fourth grade secondary school. I’ve got very good grades in math because of him. He was a very good teacher for me but not for my classmates. They thought that he was very strict, and (I have to say it) grumpy… but not to me because I was a very brilliant student.

I remember that we all loved that teacher… he was like our platonic love in second grade of secondary, of course my old school is a ladies school. He taught me how perseverant I should be, that the things happened for a reason and… of course… he taught me that I must be the best in anything that I decide to do.

When I was in fourth of secondary… he saved my life, just the day before the end of the academic year… and a week before my graduation (I think so… I can’t remember). We had two hours to finish our accounting project, and “El Dani” borrowed me his notebook and let me work in his class… and guess what… our project was one of the best!

“El Dani” (I used to call him like that) was fired of the school last year, so I never knew what happened with him, and I don’t think I could. I hope he’s had a great life and keep teaching like he taught me.

That’s all guys!!

Good night and take care! =)

My Little wonderful device

Hi guys!!! Like every Wednesday I have to tell you anything about me and what I like. Today is the turn of technology. I have to write about what piece of technology I like to use. That’s easy!!!! I love my mp3… it’s so cute and comfortable.

I bought it like three months ago, because the one that I had before was failing, so I decided to send it to the store and they changed it for another.

As I say… I Love my mp3. I can’t live without music… it’s the best thing in the world (for me… obviously). It’s compact and it doesn’t have cables. I use it every day in every time because it’s easy to hide. Seriously I can’t imagine my life without my mp3. It’s always with me… even when I go to sleep.

I don’t feel lonely with it, it’s my partner… it’s with me everywhere and every time, because I always carry it around my neck.

Can you imagine how I love my mp3? Just to give you an idea… I can never pay attention to people who talk to me, because I’m deeply connected to my little, wonderful, device.

I think that’s it for today… It’s clear that I love my mp3 jajajaja. But!!! I don’t love it more than I love my family… and I don’t care if you think that I’m twee, because… guess what… I am!! Jajajajaja.

Take Care and Good night!

A Fabulous Faint!!! =)

Hi guys!!! Today I have to write about my favorite band… but I don’t have one, because there are too many in the world to just pick one, and only one…

I like bands like Kreator, Black Label Society, Megadeth, Seether, Ska-p and… Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, only to mention a few groups that I have in my mp3.

Last December I went with my brother to the Movistar Arena to see Los Fabulosos Cadillacs. My mom and dad bought VIP tickets for us, so we could stay in front of the stage, so near to them!!! It was great!!!

So… they started to play “Manuel Santillán, el León” and the crowd went crazy with the first note. When they were playing the third song I started to feel bad, I couldn’t breathe. I could barely stand on my feet. My brother had to call security and ask for help. They took me to the infirmary and the paramedic brings me help.

After that, I realized that I had missed my favorite song!!! “Demasiada Presión”. I wanted to go outside and shout out loud, sing, jump, and do all the things that you do when you’re in a concert. When I got my strength back, I helped the paramedic with her math homework. It only took me a few minutes.

I know what you’re thinking… She lost the whole concert!!!!! Guess what… it wasn’t like that… I went back when they were playing the sixth song.

What can I say?? It was fun, I liked it very much, I spent a great time (except for the faint) but I’m still pissed off. I think that if it wasn’t for the faint it could have been a lot better.

That's all!! take care and good night! =)

Killing bastards =)

Hello guys!!! Today we have to write about our favorite movie. That’s a problem for me, because I don’t have a favorite one, but I can tell you about the last one I enjoyed. It’s “Inglourious Basterds” by Quentin Tarantino.

I watched it after the earthquake, when everything was going back to normal. My brother and I were in the living room with the notebook and decided to watch a movie, so we chose a Tarantino film.

It’s a very funny movie. In some way Tarantino makes fun of a painful period in the history of mankind… I mean, the World War II.

The movie takes place in France, and intertwines the lives of all the characters in it. It’s dynamic, so is difficult to get bored. Tarantino knows how to mix the tragedy with the comedy and get a masterpiece, at least for me.

Brad Pitt appears in the film as Aldo “el apache”, the leader of an anti Nazi group named “The basterds”. They have one, and only one mission… kill Nazis.

The film won an Academy Award for Christoph Waltz as the best supporting actor, for his interpretation as a SS officer, named Hans Landa.

I can say that the movie has an unexpected end... I think that it was a great end! An end that only Quentin Tarantino can make work. I recommend the film, you won’t be disappointed.

That’s all for now…

Goodbye!! And Take Care!! =)

"Hard Cony" =)

Today I want to tell you about a journalist that I admire. Her name is Constanza Santa María. She was born in 1973, a few months before the Coup d’état. She studied at Universidad Católica de Chile and graduated as a journalist in 1995. She started as a reporter in the channel of the university (Canal 13), after that she worked writing in the newspaper “El Mercurio” until 1997, time that she returned to Canal 13.

In 1999, she got the Fullbright scholarship, to do a master in the University of Columbia, until June of 2000. While she was studying in Columbia, she won an award for a documentary about the Islas Vieques in Puerto Rico. Up to the day she’s still working in Canal 13 as a leader in the morning news.

I like her because I think that she is one of the best journalists in the country. She is smart, sincere but, above all, she is straight with people, and that’s make her an interesting person. Her style to interview is unique and I think that she is an example to follow.

That’s all for today, I apologize if my presentation was boring…

Good night! And take care!

The earth is shaking!!

Hello my friends… I’m back!!! =)
Today I want to tell how I lived the earthquake of the past February 27th.
I was in my house with my family (dad, mom, brother) and a friend of my brother, who is a part of the family to us.
My dad arrived from Concepción two hours earlier than the earthquake hit the country and left that city devastated.
When the earthquake started we were luckily all awake so we could act really fast to get to a safe zone just in time before the lights went out.
While the earth was shaking beneath us, I felt like I was in Fantansilandia, honestly it was a little fun for me but only for a few seconds, after that I stated to get worried. Meanwhile my brother and his friend were holding to my parents very tightly. They were too scared; this is was our first earthquake!
When it all happens, we were to check how everything in my house was and my dad went out to help our neighbours. It was a long night because we didn’t know anything about our relatives who were travelling during the earthquake, which was worrying.
About that night, I must say that was one of the most terrifying experiences for all the Chileans who lived in the disaster zone.

That’s all for now! Good night!! and take care!!
